3/7/2024

The Board of Grievances of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia signed an agreement with Elm, a pioneer of digital solutions, to share data through the “Legal Assistant” system in order to enhance judicial processes through AI-based digital solutions.

The agreement was signed between Dr. Ali Alahaideb, Secretary General of the Administrative Judicial Council representing the Board of Grievances, and Dr. Abdulrahman Aljadhai, CEO of Elm Company. The agreement aims to take advantage of the “Legal Assistant” in order to facilitate legal research in judicial precedents and modern legislation as well as improve judicial judgment predictions.

Additionally, the agreement outlines establishing a sophisticated system that utilises artificial intelligence techniques to provide judges, researchers, and all beneficiaries of the Digital Board of Grievances with access to efficiently disaggregated and structured judicial information. By analysing case data, judgments, legislation, the agreement seeks to identify connections and similarities between them and offer effective tools for predicting expected governance using artificial intelligence applications.

The agreement also represents a strategic move to decrease the volume of cases that come before the courts, facilitate the presentation of recent case law, regulations, and legislation to the judge, as well as ensure that the judicial process is completed with high quality. All of this falls under the framework of the Board of Grievances, its efforts, and initiatives to modernise and enhance regulations, render better judgments, and advance fairness and efficiency to achieve justice, in line with the advancements of the present era.
