HRSD Minister of Sponsors the Signing Ceremony of the Social Cases Research Project Agreement

His Excellency, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, sponsored the signing ceremony of the agreement between the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development and Elm Company for the second phase of the Social Cases Research Project on Wednesday, January 17, 2024. The ceremony took place at the ministry headquarters in Riyadh, in the presence of His Excellency the Assistant Minister of Human Resources and Social Development for Joint Services, Mr. Ismail bin Saeed Al-Ghamdi, and the CEO of Elm Company, Dr. Abdulrahman bin Saad Al-Jadhai, and the CEO of the National Center for Privatization, Mr. Muhannad Basoudan, along with several officials.

The project's second phase, developed with the National Center for Privatization, aims to allocate social research work and home visits to beneficiaries of the Social Security Program in various regions of the Kingdom. The ministry seeks to enhance the quality of community services, as well as developing and improving the beneficiary's experience.

During his speech at the ceremony, His Excellency the Deputy Minister in charge of the Social Development Sector, Eng. Soltan Jorais Al-Jorais, stated that the ministry seeks to support those in greatest need communities in accordance with the Vision 2030. The Social Security System has been developed based on actual needs, considering the best international practices of similar programs in other countries, as well as the social, economic, and future development opportunities to achieve the three main pillars: a lively society, a thriving economy, and an ambitious nation. He also emphasized that the Social Cases Research Project aims to achieve operational and financial efficiency for field visits to beneficiaries of the Social Security System, involving the private sector in government projects, and implementing the ministry's strategy to activate the role of the private sector in legislative and oversight functions, as well as operating ministry services and providing support to beneficiaries.

The "Privatization" program is aimed at achieving Vision 2030, approved by the Council of Economic and Development Affairs. The program is an important supporter of the national economic development movement, aiming to enhance the role of the private sector in service provision and government assets availability, which improving the quality of services provided in general and reducing their costs. It also enables the government to focus on its legislative and regulatory roles. The National Center for Privatization is responsible for developing an effective privatization process implemented by the targeted entities to attract and involve the private sector and market opportunities at local and international levels.

It was mentioned that the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, through the developed Social Security System, seeks to support those in greatest need communities and to achieve social protection goals by providing monetary support, rehabilitation and training services, empowerment, and employment services, as well as ensuring access of Zakat funds to the eligible beneficiaries and improving forces.
