Elm concludes the events of “Holom Second Camp” with participation of 120 Male and female students

Elm has concluded the events of Holom camp in the city of Riyadh this weekend, under the name of “Smartphone Applications Camp”, which included two tracks (android) & (iOS). The camp comes under the umbrella of Holom where 120 participants from 35 universities were selected to participate out of 1000 registered applicants.
 
The manager of Innovation and Business Development department at Elm, Eng. Tarek Al Ghoneim explained in a press release that events of the camp are considered an international training approach, where students (Males and females) are trained to develop different smartphone applications during the weekend. The camp focused extensively on practice where information is delivered based on applicable knowledge by students to enable them develop their own applications by the end of the camp.
 
He added that the Holom events are carried out for the second consecutive time, where an opportunity is now opened for the first time for 60 female participants in this year.
On the other hand, Eng. Ghoneim assured that Elm translated its passion for technology into an actual program called “Holom” in order to reduce the gap between education achievements and labor market requirements. The program is considered one of the company most prominent social programs for university students in the Kingdom. The program has introduced many initiatives over the past years and made outstanding success for young men and women who are interested in technology.
 
Eng. AlGhoneim elaborated on how the program will provide a variety of technical expertise, especially knowledge transfer to talented people to shape their own future and achieve their ambitions through experience sharpened by realistic work environment provided by the program.
 
Through Holom, Elm is looking forward to contribute to core changes in e-business, to fulfill the requirements of the labor market from Saudi graduates, who are qualified in this sector which is expected to provide thousands of job opportunities in the coming years.
 

It is worth mentioning that Holom provides logistical support for projects in coordination with concerned universities departments, and extends a helping hand to solve technical challenges faced by students while implementing their projects. Holom provides virtual databases (Similar to real world ones) suitable for projects related to e-business and encourages creativity and innovation among students (Males and females) by establishing local competitions and awarding winning entrepreneurs with valuable prizes.
